Coming soon - Dental New Patient Premium dataset on the Open Data Portal

In the coming weeks, a new dataset will be published to report on the New Patient Premium (NPP) reported at the Integrated Care Board (ICB) level.
In March 2024, the government launched the New Patient Premium (NPP) to support dentists to take on new patients. Dentists were offered an additional payment to deliver NHS care to patients who had been unable to access care in the past two years; £15 if they need a band one course of treatment, and £50 if they require a band two or three.
The new dataset shows uptake of the NPP at Integrated Care Board (ICB) level. It will include the monthly number of patients and units of dental activity from March 2024 to October 2024. We will also publish baseline monthly data from March 2023 to February 2024.
